I have been a caregiver for seven years now. I work part-time as a caregiver while school is in process and full-time during the summer. I normally care for families with two or three little children. I watched children from 6 months to twelve years old. I'm most comforter with infants and children up to eleven years old but would watch child older than eleven. I don't have any children of my own or pets, but i do volunteer work during Christmas and thanksgiving. I have babysitting philosophy which I believe children should have healthy snacks over junk food and every child should read at least 20 minutes a day. My favorite games with children would be scavenger hunts, arts and craft, board games and storytelling. The last two years, I had the chance to become a full-time nanny. She was on time both days and courteous. I am sure my daughter was safe with her at all times. I appreciated that. But both days she hardly said a word to engage my 4 year old. She was extremely passive and really did not seem happy to be there. My daughter in turn did not seem very happy either such that I cancelled my work plans to ask Alisha to leave 1.5 hours early today. She had no problem leaving. I would rather call in sick than have Alisha care for my daughter again, I am sorry to say. I would under no circumstances recommend her as a babysitter.
