I was a stay at home mom of two for almost two years. I work ft but I really love kids and have some availability on certain weekdays/nights and weekends, but the specific days change based on my schedule. My son is is almost 16 years old and my daughter is 14 years old. I have my own transportation. I have over over 20 years experience caring for children of all ages; infants to 10th graders, and having a house full of high school teenagers from time to time. I've volunteered at my niece's learning center and communicate often with many of the teachers there because my children attend their after school and summer program. I have worked in customer service and nannied for years before becoming a nurse. I previously worked in home healthcare with developmentally delayed and disabled infants. I currently work as a Mother/Baby nurse on the Read more Postpartum unit of a Chicago hospital near the medical district caring for mothers and babies following childbirth and educating parents and support persons on caring for baby and mom's health after discharge. I am very caring, cautious, responsible, and also know kids like to have fun. I like to educate whenever possible. I love babies. I also love to be goofy with toddlers and older children. I haven't come across a child that hasn't liked me, and I'm proud to say that! Having children of my own has opened my eyes even more towards children’s needs both physically and especially emotionally. I am CPR/FIrst Aid certified. Lori was chill, competent, almost immediately bonded with my son over her own kid's love of video games, was prompt responding ahead of time, punctual on arrival, and did dishes to top it all off. My son even "friended" hers on our PS4 and now they're going to play online together. Great lady, and a super sitter, we'll definitely be having her back again.

Lori was great with my daughter! She was punctual and got down to it right away! You could tell she was expwrienced. She brought coloring books and color pencils and engaged my daughter right away! What an awesome idea! I would highly recommend her and hire her again!
