My name is Sam Magana I am 19 years old and I am studying Theater and Performance at the University of Illinois at Chicago. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and I have been working with kids for about 5 years. I was a mentor for middle school kids ranging from 9 to 13 years old. I have gone to South Dakota to help kids dealing with social isolation within their own community. I have also been babysitting my friend's 2 toddler boys for about 3 years. I would consider myself a very active babysitter. I grew up taking care of my brother and cousins for as long as I can remember. I love both teaching and learning from kids. I love being a babysitter because I feel like I can connect very well with kids. I like to see what goes on in a kid's mind. I Read more enjoy listening to their thoughts and ideas. I would like to consider myself as a person with high energy so I find myself often matching my energy with the child that I am a babysitting. Overall I would say that I am a very responsible and outgoing person.
