My name is Megan Lacey and I am 33 years of age. I have a degree in Family & Child Studies and before the degree, the passion to love and care for children was present. I’ll be obtaining my MHA very soon! I have volunteered as a Vacation Bible Teacher, worked as a Team Leader for 2nd graders in an after school program and more recently, I transitioned from the role Home Visiting Specialist within the arena of Maternal Child Health. I have been able to assist expectant mothers with developmental screenings for their children and offer referral services throughout the Chicagoland area. In programs prior, I have assisted with adolescent girls aged 13-17 from Spanish speaking countries. In another program, I worked with young women from the ages of 17-21. They are wards of the state through DCFS. It has been a privilege to work with so many different Read more demographics. Along with the aforementioned experiences it has also been an my pleasure to offer babysitting and nanny services. I have cared for children with special needs, infants and even young women who have children of their own. Traveling with the family to assist children will not be problem. I am available to work full-time for your family. I realize school functions and trips to the doctor are typical. I am ready to roll when you need me! I am a Christian and my values are very dear to me. My hope is that people will see the type of spirit I have without me having to tell them. Because of these values, I would take the safety of those in my care very seriously. I look forward to being able to provide quality care and nurturing to those who need it. It means a lot to me to be able to serve as a trustworthy caregiver because I KNOW that if I were to ever have children that the person would have to function in integrity. Reasonably, I expect to be held to the same standard.
