I grew up in a family with lots of kids. During family events i would watch the children and entertain them , take them to the park, tell them stories, etc. After doing this for five years i realized that working with children became a passion of mine. I now am working on getting my degree in early childhood education. I have experience watching kids ages ranging from 1- 11 years old. When i watched three or more kids that were in different age groups i would come up with activities for each child or on some occasions an activity that can fit all kids interests. I also provided help with homework, making them meals, and even do light house keeping. Some of the activities i did with the kids included reading them stories, arts & crafts , taking them to the park, playing games with them , etc. I Read more believe it's important to let kids explore their imagination and be creative. I also believe its also important to attend to a child's needs whether that be listening to them, playing their favorite games , helping them with school projects , basically giving them your undivided attention. I treat all kids how i would want someone to treat my younger cousins. I treat them like family because i believe it's important for the child to feel comfortable and safe around the sitter.
