My name is Michelle Baliss. I am 25 years old. I grew up in Peoria and attended Dunlap High School. I also went on to attend Bradley University in Peoria and received a B.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in Psychology in 2014. Since that time, I spent 4 years in South Carolina attending medical school. I recently completed my medical school coursework and have returned to Peoria for a few months to await the start of my residency training in July. My experience with children and childcare includes assisting with raising my cousins and babysitting for family and close family friends on numerous occasions during high school and college. I have also volunteered >180 hours at local church daycare centers and participated in a program that assisted young children with difficult home situations or who suffered from learning disabilities with school work such as reading and writing. During medical Read more school, I completed a 2 month rotation in pediatrics and a 1 month rotation at a child psychiatric inpatient facility. I am BLS and ACLS certified. I have extensive experience in tutoring school-aged and college students in general science subjects such as chemistry, biology, and biochemistry.
