Hello! My name is Emma; I am 27 year old woman who is recently married. I have always loved being around kids, even when I was one. I started as a mother's helper when I was 10 years old. I worked at a day care in the three and four year old room. Since then, I have babysat for numerous families and was a nanny throughout undergrad and graduate school. I worked at the oldest running day camp in the country for three continuous years working with girls going into seventh grade. While working at the camp I learned a lot of great games to play with children that don't need a lot of resources and keep children active and engaged. I have my undergraduate degree in advertising and marketing, and my masters degree in adult and higher education - student affairs. I have a full time job (9-5) where Read more I work in the non-profit world working with a women's sorority. I have cared for children as young as 3 weeks old and as old as juniors in high school. I feel comfortable taking care of any age children. I nannied for a family who had a child on the Autism spectrum as well as two other, younger children, one of which was a toddler. I like to be active with children when babysitting. When it is nice out I enjoy going for a walk or to the park. During inclement weather I try to come up with games and activities to keep the children active. Reading with children when babysitting is another one of my favorite activities because it allows the imagination to run wild! It is not my job to sit and put children in front of a television when babysitting. I am comfortable with animals, growing up we had a cat and a dog in the house and I have a cat of my own now.
