I grew up in an at-home daycare that my mother has run since long before I was born. As such, I have been taking care of children between the ages of 4 months and 12 years since I was old enough to hold a baby. I became a Mother's Helper at 10, and was babysitting alone on weekend nights by the time I was 13. Now, at 22, working with children still brings incredible joy to my life. Some of my favorite memories come from playing trains, or collecting acorns and pinecones to create art projects. I am a senior at the University of Illinois at Chicago, double majoring in Hispanic Linguistics and Cultural Anthropology, and have taken several classes on Child Development and Child Psychology. I am CPR certified, and speak fluent Spanish. I am an extremely qualified caregiver. I understand a child's need for consistency and boundaries, as Read more well as fun and interaction. The best babysitting/nanny jobs come when there is a clear and open line of communication between myself and the parents, allowing for all of the child's(or children's) needs to be met. In the end, I love kids, and I love babysitting/nannying because nothing is more amazing and fulfilling than making children laugh and helping them learn.
