I am a 43 year old married mother of two. My oldest is 23 years old and is about to be a mother herself. My youngest is 13 years old and is a special needs child. He is on the autism spectrum with ADHD and has learning disabilities. He has also been recently diagnosed with focal seizures and is going through various testing for a possible genetic disorder and may have to have brain surgery if the medication they are giving him does not help with these seizures. I have recently been laid off from the mortgage industry of which I was in for 17 years. I really have no desire to get back into mortgages as it takes me away from my family and causes me great stress. I'd much rather be available to take care of my son and new granddaughter and be available to help my daughter Read more with the task of being a new mother. I realize this will most likely be a pay cut but I feel that taking care of my family is more important and if I can help others with their children and/or family it would be more rewarding.
