I have recently returned from Ireland where I worked for a children's nonprofit organization called The Barretstown Gang Camp (www.barretstown.org). My role at camp was the Photography Activity Leader, this involved developing and leading a multitude of activities ranging from developing photos in a darkroom, science experiments, team building and cooking activities to leading faux ninja training, dancing before and after every meal and acting as a variety of characters during the themed weeks. Though fun, silliness and imagination often took the main stage at camp safety, inclusion, accessibility and intentionality were behind everything we, as staff, did.
