Currently a music therapist looking for part-time work over the summer in an "on-call" capacity. In the past, I've been a live-in nanny and babysitter for families in the Chicago area. I have degrees in music therapy and psychology, with professional experience leading group music classes for preschoolers. I believe in interacting with children on their unique level and having fun while developmentally-appropriate music and creative activities. I play guitar, piano, and ukulele and enjoy introducing these and other instruments to children to develop their musical identity. While working, I look for ways to creatively engage and nurture children by being responsive and supportive of their personalities and interests. I have worked with special needs populations and bring the patience and compassion from these experiences into my childcare philosophy. I'm currently infant/child CPR certified and have passed the Oregon Early Learning Division background check.
