I am a full time graduate student looking for a family in need of an occasional babysitter. I am currently enrolled in Governors State University’s Master of Occupational Therapy program and will be graduating August of 2018. After I obtain my license in occupational therapy, I plan on working in the pediatrics field or in an elementary school. I have received my bachelor’s degree from Governors State University in psychology with honors recognition of Magna Cum Laude. During my undergrad education, I have taken several child development courses in which I have gained an understanding of how to help and encourage people of all ages and mental capabilities to reach their fullest potential. During high school, I regularly babysat my 7 year old neighbor. This entailed assisting with homework, feeding dinner, engaging in fun activities, and putting her to sleep on time. I have also occasionally babysat for a few Read more other families in my neighborhood with children ranging from 1 years old to 5 years old. I currently babysit my 5 and 9 year old niece’s and my 3 year old nephew. The kids and I enjoy participating in exciting activities such as playing games or finger painting. I also love being outside so when the weather is warm, the kids and I enjoying walking to the park or riding bikes. I currently have been employed at ATI Physical Therapy as a rehab technician/ exercise specialist where I have gained experience working with patients under the age of 10.
