I have been a caregiver since having my own three children all before the age of 25. This time included watching neighborhood children all throughout. My professional experience working with children started in 1998. I was a paraprofessional (assistant teacher) for school age children. I participated in this role for 11 years which allowed me to learn a lot as well as teach a lot. Some duties performed were as follows: implementing goal and activities from individualized education plans, collected data on student's daily academic activities, small group instruction, one on one aid with children with intellectual disabilities, constructed and implemented daily goals and activities, participated in team meetings and implemented new strategies on children in need.
