I am energetic, fun loving, compassionate, patient, organized, responsible and very committed. I am able to problem-solve and make good decisions. Able to travel with family; overnight(s) care if needed. I have been a nanny for two very wonderful families over the past 5 1/2 years. The two families are actually related. I started as a nanny/house manager in 2011 working for a Downer's Grove family with three children and two boxers. When I started, the two boys were 5 and 8 and the little girl was 18 months. I was responsible for getting the boys off to school, maintain the house (clean, laundry, meal preparation, dishes, make beds, drive kids to their activities/events, run errands, help w/homework, etc.) Kept activities fun, exciting and educational for the little girl (crafts, color, daily reading). I was with them 4 years and continue to help them out when needed. My dad had passed away during that time and I felt I was needed taking care of my mother for awhile. When I was ready to return back as a nanny, the family that I had been a nanny for originally had a niece that was looking for a nanny. I started with them last April, 2015 - a 1 1/2 yr old boy and a newborn girl. I was elated to have been given this wonderful opportunity. I was with them 1 year and 5 months. The boy is now 3 and the little girl is 1 yr & 6 months. They decided to enroll them both in school. They are expecting their third child in February, 2017. She will be taking some time off to care for the baby and her goal is to be able to work from home while the two other children are in school. My last day as their nanny was on Sept. 8, 2016. My husband and I come from close families...where family is very important. My husband is Greek and I'm Italian. We live in Glen Ellyn and have a little Chihuahua named Chachi. We are not able to have children of our own. We provide so much love to our 18 nieces and nephews. And that is why I became a nanny after 25 years working in Corporate America.
