Hi! My name is Lisa, I am 28 years old and recently moved to Somerville to do my MBA in Nonprofit Management. My professional background is in education and workforce development with refugees and asylees. I spent two years teaching in Mexico to all ages from 3 through adult but my specialty is with kids and my main group was Kindergarten (ages 4-6). I graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson with a degree in Latin American Studies and Spanish. I love kids and have been babysitting since I got Red Cross Certified through a babysitting course at age 11. I started out babysitting kids ages 2 and 4. Over the past 13 years I have babysat for children ages 4 weeks-14 years, and up to 6 kids at a time. I love playing games and outdoor activities such as baseball, soccer, frisbee, basketball, going to the park, pool, Read more beach, etc. I am very friendly, creative, and organized. I have also been a camp counselor for three-year-olds and six-year-olds. I interned at an after-school program in Guatemala, working with children ages 3 through 7 years. I also interned as the Education coordinator of refugee youth at the International Rescue Committee in Tucson, as well as a teaching internship with Refugee youth in a local library. We love Lisa! I was so happy to have Lisa's help with my 6 month old son when my husband was unexpectedly out of town for 2 weeks. We even used her a couple more times later that month for nights out. She is definitely at the top of my list of sitters to call, just wish she wasn't going back to school in the fall :( I would recommend her without hesitation.

Lisa is a fabulous babysitter: punctual, caring, and energetic. She took care of my 3 kids (ages 4, 2, and 3 months) for a full week, and they loved her! She played games with them, took them to the park, and fed them lunch each day. I endorse her wholeheartedly.
