ok so for bars, obviously tons of options. if you're looking for a good day drinking spot, i'd say the bungalow in santa monica. it is a bit of a tourist trap, but it's a block from ocean avenue and the beach and really fun, great for the 'gram. it's set in an old beach house turned bar, but i don't think it's nearly as fun after dark. santa monica has a strip of bars that are a little upscale, but nothing crazy on main street. they've got your classic lights across the street scenic shit that's fun at night. i'm also partial to ep&lp on la cienega and melrose in hollywood area. it's an australian owned rooftop bar, tons of great looking people, but is also fun too. i did go there once on a wednesday and they had the bar rented out so i'd just call ahead to Read more make sure, i don't know how common that is, but would hate for that to happen to you guys. they've also got a restaurant on the second floor by a different name, of course i can't remember it, which could be a good option for you guys, it's classy, but not crazy expensive. west hollywood is crazy fun, but definitely the gayboyhood and more clubby. i've been to the abbey for brunch and it's v gay, but a great time. the gym is a fun club in weho. i do absolutely LOVE this bar on the edge of west hollywood called state social house, but it is very casual. they've got a live band on saturday nights that covers 90s music and it's a blast, but may not be the vibe you're looking for, definitely more divey. i know one of the guys in the band so lmk if you are interested in that and i'll talk to him. i'm not as familiar with beverly hills, but there's like 3 bars side by side that have a cool indoor/outdoor vibe, i'm gonna see if i can find out the name of those and i'll get back to you on that. no vacancy and dirty laundry are both fun bars in hollywood that are more unique.
