Hello. I am a wife and the mother of 19-year-old twin daughters. I am also a full-time caregiver. I graduated from the University of Illinois with a B. F. A. in Graphic Design. I love doing art projects with my girls and the children I care for. I spent many years working in an office as a designer. After I had my girls, I worked part-time from home. When the company closed 10 years ago, I decided I wanted to spend my days with children. I have been babysitting ever since. I have first-aid and CPR certification. I get outside with the children everyday. I love field trips to the park, zoo, library and museums. I enjoy singing, dancing, reading and exploring the world together. I have cared for children ages 3 months to 10 years, either at my home or theirs. This summer the family that I have been Read more with for the past 6 years is moving out of state. I am sad to see them go and find myself looking for another family to help. I like to read, travel, camp and spend time outdoors with my family. I also enjoy volunteer work. I currently teach 4th grade religious education at our church. For eight years I volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for my daughters' troop. For the past 19 years, I have been involved with an organization called BEDS, which provides meals and shelter to the homeless. Once a month my family prepares meals for the shelter and once a month we help at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. To relax, I love a good book and a cup of tea. I currently care for an adorable 1-1/2 year old Wednesday and Thursday from my home. He would love a playmate. Ideally, I am looking for a family who is interested in child care outside of their home, but I am open to coming to yours if the scheduling allows. Thank you for considering me.
