My name is Emily and I am 28 years old. I am a 2012 graduate from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and a minor in Theatre. I am currently a full time nanny in Deerfield, IL and the two boys I've watched for a year have grown and I am in need of seeking a new family for a long term nanny position. I am able to get your children ready for the day, dressed, fed and dropped off to school if need be. I am also available during the weekends as well (day or night). I have 10+ years of experience. I have worked as a camp counselor in Northern Wisconsin for three years as a drama director. I also have two years of camp counseling experience at the Lake Bluff Park District. We hired Emily 6 weeks ago to nanny full time for our 3 precious little children (4.5YO, 3YO, 19mon). She texted us that she had just accepted a different full time position and will not be showing up for work the very next day. Our nanny contract asked for a respectful 2 week notice and we got less than 12 hours. She did not give any early indication of dissatisfaction in the position. Very disappointed in the lack of respect for our family at termination. Not sure if a full time nanny position is right for her.

Emily babysat for my 3 kids on a few occasions. She was very capable and the kids liked her a lot. However, she did cancel on me on a few occasions, often because she changed her plans, or had car trouble. She was also very over-booked so I found it difficult to get her for dates I needed. I stopped calling her for sitting because of this.
