My name is Robin and I am a Special Education student at Northern Michigan University. I am hoping to spend the summer home in the north shore Chicago suburbs. I would be thrilled to get to spend my summer as your childrens nanny. Prior to going to school at NMU I had lots of experiences working with kids with and without special needs. For one summer I was a nanny to two boys- we spent our summer fishing, biking, swimming, and overall just spent almost all of our time outside. I spent a year at home attending College of Lake County and working at Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County, I worked a variety of programs with both children and adults as well as a 1:1 inclusion aide for many children and teens with a variety of disabilities. I then worked as an Adventure guide at Wildman Adventure Resort, Read more where I would take groups of children and teens, families, and adults out on different types of adventures such as zip lining, whitewater rafting, climbing, kayaking, or paddleboarding. I was in charge of keeping them safe and providing them with a fun time. Lastly, I spent 2 months living and volunteering at a care center for children & young adults with special needs in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Overall, I have lots of unique experiences with children, and feel I could be a great help to your family.
