I come from a family that loves being a family. I have 12 cousins, most of them younger, and we get together all the time for parties or just dinner at my grandparents' house, so I have a lot of experience with kids. I have babysat for my aunts and uncles from time to time as well, and my cousins and I always have a lot of fun. I love doing activities with them, such as making easy recipes like rice crispy treats, doing crafts, going to the park, doing karaoke, playing games, or even just running around outside. My previous experiences working with children besides my family include volunteering at my church's Sunday School program, helping to teach fun classes for elementary school children for the FrOG Program in Downers Grove, and babysitting the children of family friends. I also helped coach 6th grade girls' volleyball at a local Read more elementary school and volunteered in the children's section of the Lisle Library during the summer reading program. I have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. I am First Aid trained and certified, and I will be taking a CPR certification class in May. ***Note about my availability: Since I go to school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, I am only available to babysit in the Western Suburbs of Chicago beginning in June. For some reason the SitterCity website will only allow me to indicate my availability for the next three months, and I cannot decrease my availability for April or May. In June, July and August, I am available all day Monday through Friday, but not weekends due to a prior commitment.
