I have had a passion for children/babies every since high school where I completed all four child development courses. At 15 I started babysitting for a family which involved taking care of their two children after school. I babysat for them for two years until they didn't need me anymore because their kids had gotten older and the mom also decided to stay at home with them. The whole summer of 2009 I babysat for newborn twins who were here on vacation from England. And after that I found my current babysitting job which I still occasionally go to because I have gotten too attached to the children and they have gotten way too attached to me. The only reason why I wasn't able to babysit for them regularly anymore was because my college schedule wasn't really matching with the schedule they had. I've been with the family for over Read more three years now. They have four children who are now ranging in ages from 4 to 12. I have gone on a few vacations with them and I have been beyond responsible, loving and caring for their children. I like to put my heart into every thing I do, otherwise I rather not do it at all. I absolutely love kids, and I am very comfortable with pets as I have a dog. I am very familiar with lots of areas, because I have babysat in a lot of the suburbs. I love seeing children that are having a great time therefore I come up with creative ways to engage them in activities. I believe that children shouldn't watch T.V. for more than half an hour to an hour a day. That's how my mom raised me and I am a strong believer that my imagination and creativity couldn't have been this great if I would've constantly been watching T.V. I noticed that because I am young, children tend to like that and most of them look at me as if I were their role model. Therefore, I like to be nice and "cool" but I am firm when children need to follow rules given to them by their parents. This has worked great for me for the 4 children I have been babysitting. I learned how to take care of each one individually and they learned that it's always better to listen to me and we will have a good time rather than not follow rules. Over the summer of 2015 my availability will be completely open as I have no school. The only issue I have is that I have a car that is being leased and I cannot pass over certain milage on it. I could obviously drive to and from babysitting with my own car I just won't be able to drive my own car to activities that are very far.
