I have been caring for other people's children in some capacity or another for 15 years. During the summer of 2003, I helped a new mom care for her newborn twins, who were born prematurely. The following summer I was a nanny for three boys, ages 9, 10, and 11. Throughout college, I volunteered with a variety of after-school programs for children pre-teens. During the fall of 2011, I was certivied as a domestic violence advocate and put in charge of child care at the local shelter one night a week. Currently I am working on my Master of Arts in Teaching with an Early Childhood Endorsement at National-Louis University. I love kids of any age, but I work best with 6 and under.
