I am a recent graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and French. Most recently, I was a an activity director for an after school program. I came up with activities to play with kindergarten through sixth grade. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy last fall and I was an intern at an elementary school where I worked in collaboration with a full time instructor and helped the students learn English. Before I studied abroad, I babysat for a family who lived around my university and I truly enjoyed the job! The family had two girls, an 8 year old and a 4 year old. Throughout the week I babysat the 8 year old. We played games together, did puzzles, occasionally watched movies, and when the weather was nice play outside. I babysat both of the girls over the weekend a couple of times a month. I am very patient, kind, easy going, and fun so in my positions I feel that the children are comfortable with me. I have learned what types of games children like to play as well. Two summers ago I was a camp counselor and was responsible for about seventeen seven year olds with a partner. It was very busy, but also lots of fun! I learned how to deal with lots of kids with high energy at one time. I know that I have the skills and qualifications that it takes to be a great nanny for your children!
