I just graduated from Lewis University with a degree in English Secondary Education. I'm waiting for my teaching certificate, which should arrive around March-April. I worked as a volunteer for Girl Scouts and also worked with children at Port Ministry. I generally work with smaller groups, 3-4 children at a time. I believe that being caring and respectful will be most beneficial for children. When I treat them with respect, I expect them to return the respect. I enjoy playing boardgames and card games with children, as well as allowing them to experience nature. However, I believe that children should ALWAYS wear sunscreen if they are outside. I have also cared for a family friend's dogs, letting them out, playing with, and feeding them when needed. I currently have five chihuahuas that can be a handful, but they are the reason for my extreme patience. I love animals and don't Read more have a problem working for families who have pets.
