Dear future family, My name is Elizabeth and I am 25 years old. I am from Mexico. I just graduated from the Bachelor of International Relations in the University of Monterrey (UDEM). I have developed a passion to know and learn more about different cultures and languages. My native language is Spanish, but I am also a fluent English and Portuguese speaker and I have basic level studies in French. I have traveled around Mexico, United States, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil. Not so long ago I studied in Harlingen, Texas for 1 year where I lived with an American host family and I took care of their 5 children and 1 dog. Also, for 2 years, I went during summer time to Hamptons Bays, New York and I took care of 1 little girl, 3 cats and 2 dogs. And I went to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to study Read more abroad and I worked part-time with a Canadian-British family and I took care of 1 little boy. I really had a great time and a lovely experience with all of them!. In my Country I have taken the role of a tutor/nanny at a summer camp from church where I have worked with children of all ages. I have been a Scout since I was 14 years old where I also have worked with the children. In my social service at the university, I went to elementary and middle schools, where I played with the kids and taught them about the basic pet care (dogs and cats) and I have fostered dogs. I love working with kids! It would be an honor for me sharing my culture and customs, teaching them Spanish, English or Portuguese (it is fun, and I have good teaching skills), taking care of them, play with them, make food for them if necessary, and even learn from them. I believe that a person can learn a lot from a child. I enjoy doing these kind of activities but also would love to take care of pets (I love animals!), senior care or personal assistant. I come from a very colorful, warm, friendly and most important family-oriented culture which is the Mexican culture. For me the meaning of the family and pet care is very important. Being part of a family that gives you a place into their home is a great honor but also a great responsibility.
