I have 3.5 years of experience supervising recess for Towanda Elementary and Pepper Ridge Elementary schools located near Normal, IL. I also did summer babysitting for two years for a now 5 year old boy. I am responsible and great at creating a fun and safe environment for children. I have reference letters from Towanda Elementary and from the family I babysat for (ask upon request). I am also a recent Illinois State University graduate and looking for a job working with children. My mother is a retired teacher and from a young age I had to learn the responsibilities of doing my own laundry, making my own lunches, cleaning up after myself, etc. Learning these skills helped me become independent and self-reliable. I will use my experiences to help nurture your child(s) by teaching them responsibilities and to be able to do the simple things such as making your Read more own lunch and cleaning up after yourself. I am very outgoing and enjoy doing activities that don't require sitting in front of a TV or computer. I love to play sports even if I am not good at it. Any outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, dog walking, or going to the park are all things I enjoyed as a kid and continue to do so. I also love dogs and have always owned one at some point in my life.
