I am about to graduate from the University of Iowa with my bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Science and a minor in Spanish. This fall, I plan to begin the university's master's program in Speech-Language Pathology (so I know a lot about child development and language acquisition). I have had ample experience with multiple age groups of kids, all of which of I have genuinely enjoyed. This includes teaching a preschool class for two years as part of high school Child Development and Early Childhood Education classes, teaching 5th grade and 1st grade religious education classes, and working as a Camp Adventure counselor with toddlers and children ages five to twelve for a summer. Throughout high school and college I have babysat for multiple different families, giving me experience both with groups of children and one-on-one care as well. My past experiences have taught me to be flexible, creative, Read more able to multitask, extremely patient, and, most of all, attentive to the needs of the people with whom I am working, and putting those first. I love to come up with creative activities for the kids I work with and minimize screen time while I'm around! I am happy to help with household chores, errands, meal planning/prep, and household management, if desired.
