Thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Ashley and I am the person who will be educating and caring for your little one while you're away. I provide an educational in-home daycare in a safe and loving environment. I'm a certified teacher with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and six formal years teaching preschool and kindergarten. I absolutely love my field and I can't imagine doing anything else. Watching children develop and learn about the world around them is incredible. A little bit more about the daycare: Provided meals are whole-food based and health-conscience. Each meal and snack is served with fresh (never canned) fruit and vegetables. Sweets are a rare treat and meals exceed state standards. I have a colleague in the health and wellness field that I confer with regularly to make sure that your little one grows up big and strong! The daycare Read more is operated out of our new home in Plainfield (near Timber Ridge Middle School). We just moved here in late May and will open the daycare August 3rd. The children will have access the whole main level of the house, as well as, a fenced in backyard. The playroom has clean and purposeful toys, that promote dramatic play, and development of fine and gross motor skills. Pictures will be up on the website sometime in late June and home visits are welcome! Throughout the first few years of your child's life (ages six weeks old to three years old), we will work on meeting developmental milestones, potty training, and vocabulary introduction and usage. Children from the ages of three years old to five years old will begin preschool curriculum. These little learners will begin to identify letters and their sounds, develop comprehension skills, and start the beginning stages of writing. They will learn numbers, their values, and practice solving math problems. Ideally I would like to have your child reading at a somewhat fluent level before the start of kindergarten.
