I first started off as a babysitter a long time ago the way many people do when i was around 14 years old and was asked to watch my neighbors children for them. Ever since I volunteer myself where i can to babysit as I have found it helps build family ties as introducing a person from outside the family seemingly makes children more open around their loved ones and helps break them into social situations. I used to be a very shy and awkward child but thanks to a babysitter (who I'll leave anonymous) that I had for many years I was spared many years of struggling to fit in because I was allowed to practice simple conversation with her which opened up the shell i was stuck in so horribly and made my life just generally easier and enjoyable.
