Hi! My name is Alyssa(Allie). I worked as a Teacher's Assistant for 5 months at the Rose K. Goedert Center for Early Childhood Education at Dominican University, where I was attending as a freshman. I was responsible for the care and supervision of children ages 2-5. I engaged in interactive playtime with the children indoors and outdoors, read them books, fed them their snacks and did some light cleaning. In addition, I was hired by several students' parents to babysit for their children and their siblings based on the relationships I developed working with the kids. I have also been babysitting my younger cousin (who is 3) since he was about 8 months old. In August, their family welcomed a second baby boy who I have also babysat and spent a considerable amount of time with since his birth. I have always loved kids. I love to watch them learn, Read more grow, and play. I believe a good babysitter constantly interacts with the kids. My interest in Early Childhood Education makes me an excellent candidate for a babysitting position. The more time I spend with children the better equipped I will be to study their needs.
