My name is Karly and I'm 19 years old. For the past 7 years I've been a caregiver to my autistic uncle while my grandma goes to work. My responsibilities included preparing meals for him and watching over him to make sure nothing bad happens. My little sister has also been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, so I've learned to become very patient and understanding with her. I also work with special needs kids/adults over the summer when I volunteer at a Christian school for special needs. At my local church, I have spent the last 5 years being a leader for our Vacation Bible School, and working at the daycare, playing games and helping build their relationship with God. During my senior year of high school, I taught for our preschool students, and that's when I decided that working with kids is definitely something I'd want to pursue! For a Read more year I was also a part-time nanny for an adorable little girl, so I'm no stranger to meal preparation/bath time/bed time!
