A little bit about me: I am the oldest sister of two rambunctious brothers. I love children, and have been a babysitter since the start of high school. I absolutely love engaging with children. I am an energetic person and love the challenge of keeping up with a child's mind. I engage children in physical outdoor/indoor activities (such as soccer and dance parties), as well as creative activities (paper folding, drawing, Lego building, etc.). I also help out with homework and after school/camp activities. When I'm watching a child/children I make them my FIRST priority. There safety and comfort is my concern. I have worked with a number of families. Currently I am a part time Nanny for a family on Tuesday-Thursday weekly. I pick them up from school/ camp and drive them to any activities they need to go to. If there is free time and they have lots Read more of energy, I take them to the park so they can let it out. Water gun fights in the summer is a favorite activity! However sometimes they just want to lounge around so we play a board game, cards, read etc. I actually real enjoy working with kids. I find each kid has a unique personality and it takes time to learn how to work with them. I believe that in caring for children/teens you need to develop a trusting, healthy, working relationship (with parents and children) in order to effectively make sure the child's safety and comfort needs are being met.
