I started babysitting in my teens for neighborhood children and then had a weekly Saturday night babysitting job for one little girl who is now grown and finished graduate school. During college I had a regular babysitting job for a professional couple with two daughters. They ended up inviting me to spend summers with them (although I was not able to do this) and also paid me to do research for their book, which won a Pulitzer and I was credited in it. So my strength is being reliable, creative in coming up with activities, promoting the fun of reading, and that I like and enjoy children. I have a three year old son and I am seeking a babysitting job so I can save to take him to visit his family all over the world as I work for a wonderful nonprofit and this level of saving is challenging.
