Hello! My name is Alisa and I’m 23 years old. I just graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and majored in Middle School Education with a concentration in science. This past semester, I student taught at Robert Frost Junior High in Schaumburg and took over all duties of a teacher for 7th grade science. This school year, I am going to be a substitute teacher in District 54 and begin my pursuit in graduate school to become a school social worker. I try to get as much experience as I can with children, so beyond the field experience I get with my degree, I have also tutored at local elementary and middle schools in math, reading, and science. Two years ago, I studied abroad in France where I was able to work with a very diverse group of children in Pre-K through 4th grade at two international schools. I love playing tons of games with them (outdoor or indoor, of course!), doing different arts and crafts, and playing music. I can also help them with different skills, such as reading and math. Beyond my experience in schools, I was a lifeguard for 4 years and I taught swim lessons for 5, so I have a very strong background in CPR and First Aid. I have also babysitted for a family I met off of this site a couple years ago, and for my little cousin since she was born (she's about to be 15 this year!) My schedule is very flexible and I am available on short notice! I also own a car-- a 2016 Mazda 3. (It is very reliable!) Thank you for the consideration!!
