I started taking care of neighbors children in highschool. There were a couple of families with whom I was friends with and I would watch their kids after school for only an hour or so, but this sparked my interest in working with children. Since then, I’ve been pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Indiana University. Through IU, I’ve done a few service learning activities through Fairview Elemtairy School located on 7th Street and Lakeview Elementary School located about 25 minutes south of Bloomington. My girlfriend’s mom is a preschool teacher in Indianapolis and we have worked together as well to play and interact with her students for specific events, activities, etc.
