I'm 20 years old. I've been in the Indiana Army National Guard as a medic for three years. I am currently a Nursing student at Indiana University East and will soon be moving to Oxford, Ohio. Over the past year, I was given a wonderful opportunity to work as a teacher at a nationally accredited daycare in my hometown of Brookville, Indiana. Daily, I worked with children between the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years of age. For most of the time, however, I was lead teacher for the infant school house. I worked with babies between the ages of 6 weeks and 2 years old, full time. It was such a fun experience. I understand that the early years of childhood are the most important times of development. Along with experience as a daycare teacher, I also have experience as a babysitter. For almost 6 years, I babysat Read more for a family with a girl and boy. They are now 5 and 7. Time certainly does fly by. I consider myself a very well rounded person. For example, I have been a daycare teacher and also a soldier in the Army. With my military experience, I am thoroughly trained in CPR/AED, basic first aid, as well as extensive trauma procedures. I am also HIPAA certified and understand the importance of privacy for both health and personal matters.
