My name is Ciara and I love children of all ages. I attended Ball State University for Elementary and Special Education. I have been caring for children for the past five years. I have experience as a camp counselor, academic tutor, mentor, assistant pre school teacher and an infant teacher. I have done respite care for children with various disabilities. I have experience in caring for newborn to twelve years old. I love the outdoors, and I have a love of learning that I enjoy sharing with children. I believe that incorporating academics into the day through fun engaging games and or experiments is a great way to foster a life long love of learning. I try to get to know each child as an individual as well as their interests to build rapport and to make sure their needs are met. I have been told that I am a Read more very patient person. I also believe in behavior management techniques such as positive reinforcement. I have background checks through the Department of Child Services that were required for student teaching that I would be happy to provide you with. I also have my for hire license which allows me to transport respite clients in my own vehicle. I currently have a free schedule since I am done student teaching.
