I babysat my aunts children for 4 years while she worked 3rd shift. I cared for a 1-year-old, a 4-year-old, and a 7-year-old. I started watching the 1-year-old when she was just 3 weeks old. I put them into bed, sometimes having to feed them dinner if they had not had any already. I got one child ready for school, and the others ready to go to their grandparents house while I also got myself ready for school. Like any child, they often got sick and I cared for their every need--from administering them medications, baths, comfort, etc. Anything a mother might have to do before bed, during the night, and in the morning time, I did by myself since the age of 15.
