Before I started babysitting regularly I just assumed it was a job. I think a “job,” sells it incredibly short. For me, babysitting has taught me so much. I believe there is so much a child can teach you: unconditional love, care, patience and how to manage when things get stressful. I started babysitting as a sophomore in high school and still babysit the family I started with whenever I’m home. Now, as a sophomore in college I’ve been given so many opportunities to meet new families and grow bonds with other little ones over the years! I’ve had many different roles as a babysitter from being in the home with the whole family (allowing them to focus on work/household needs) to over night weekend sitting.
