My name is Natalie, I am 19 years old and have been babysitting for 7 years, so I'm comfortable AND experienced in watching over any age group.  I'm very interactive and I love playing/making creative activities with kids.  I enjoy making the time they spend with me a nourishing and imaginitive learning experience.  Whether it be turning a healthy food into a fun snack or going outside and thinking up a new game to play.  No matter what, part of my moral code is that no matter what age, children are still people.  So I treat them with the kindness and fairness that they deserve.  I love to have fun and be silly, but no matter what I always make sure to be responsible and keep things in control.  Because I absolutely adore children, I have lots of patience and keep an open mind and heart.  It's important to me Read more that not only do the parents trust me, but the kids as well.  So I always make an honest effort to get to know the kids that I'm watching and to be warm and friendly.  Safety is another big issue for me.  I wouldn't consider myself overprotective, but I am definitely cautious and very attentive.    I am also qualified with Safe Sitter.  So although I do my best to prevent it, I understand that accidents happen.  In any case, I always keep control.  I don't faint or cry or freak out at the sight of blood or any injury.  I think that it's especially important to remain calm in any situation like this in order to ease any fear or anxiety in the child that's been hurt.  If he sees you flustered and scared, he's not going to feel much better about the situation.   I have a good and dependable car, so running errands and picking up/dropping off to practices, appointments, etc. is never a problem at all.  I also love animals, so any sort of pet is not an issue.  I make sure to have your house cleaner than it was when I arrived.  So making sure that all toys are put away and all of the dishes are done is something that I always set aside time for.  I also love to cook, so having dinner ready is another task that I am more than happy to do.  I am also experienced in babysitting for kids with autism and down syndrome, but I appreciate knowing ahead of time of any major disabilities.
