I am not currently employed as a caregiver because I just moved to Lafayette this semester. I am a sophomore at Purdue studying Speech, Language, and Hearing sciences. I have loved being a caretaker since I was young. Growing up, my favorite toy was baby dolls and acting like they were my actual child. As I grew older I began to babysit, nanny, and teach preschool. I was a volunteer teacher at my church the entirety of high school. I was the only teacher so it taught me a lot of responsibility starting at age fourteen. Not only do I have experience with preschoolers but I have cousins that I have helped care for since they were infants. I have watched children of all ages even teenagers. I have been a nanny for two families while I was in high school and I cared for the children of both families Read more for years. I still help both families to this day. A little more about me.. I also am a TA at Purdue and this shows that I care about helping students pass and take great pride in how much I care about others. I also have a lot of experience dog and cat sitting as well. I personally have a little maltipoo named Kirby and a kitten named Grandpa Ray(RIP Grandpa Ray) who were both saved. I love animals so much and I began dog sitting when I was about 16. I have done it for many families since with nothing but positive feedback. I love being able to help to avoid boarding up animals. In the future, I would like to work with children in impoverished countries with speech disorders and/or cochlear implants.
