Over the years I've always been surrounded by children, whether it was at family events or in public places. I've always wanted to choose a career path where I was involved with children. I've always have a big place in my heart for children, started from a young age because my mom is an elementary teacher. Every opportunity I have to help her out in the classroom, I take advantage of it. Also, my senior year of high school (At Mishawaka High school), I took a Child development course. In this class, I learned about everything from what activities are appropriate from which age groups to how to care for children from any age group. Towards the last 2 months of this class, we had preschoolers come into our class and we were able to interact with them. This was a really huge moment for me because I was able Read more to take everything I learned in this class and apply it to actually being able to care for children. On top of that, I am an aunt of 6 young children who I love tremendously.
