The reason that I wanted to become a caregiver was due to my love for teaching. I am going to college full time and my schedule does change. However, I am usually avaliable from 10 a.m. until whenever needed. But my schedule changes depending on class offerings. I thought it would be a great experience to do before finishing my teaching degree. I am a god-mother of a two year old and a month old. I believe that every moment in a child's life is an opportunity to teach them something new. I know how to cook and clean and enjoy doing both actually. I own a wide variety of books that are age appropriate. I can be creative when I need to be. I have experience babysitting children in the age group of one month to the age of 11. I have done tutoring before for two years at Read more a local library in Eaton Indiana. I was a helper in my high school's preschool for a year. I worked in my church's nursery every Sunday for two years. I am into my third year of my education major. I also have studied in the area of Autism, Downs Syndrom, and ADD/ADHD. I have taken several training sessions involving those with disabilities. I had basic aid training when I was 12 years old, but am going to get recertification this summer. My idea of rates will vary depending on the distance but I will not charge outrageous amounts. Maybe a 5 dollar increase MAX to cover gas if needed. I can be very flexible on rates if needed.
