I grew up with an autistic younger brother and watched him while my mother worked nights as I got older. I have also watched a family friend's daughter with Down's syndrome quite often. I did this while they were between the ages of 5 and 15. Working with and being around children with disabilities has helped me deal with other children who may have behavior issues since children with disabilities can be challenging at times. While attending school, I worked in the classroom with children who needed a little extra attention and also at an after-school where I had to coordinate different crafts and group learning assignments for children in grades K-8. I have been a nanny for 3 years working with children of all ages. I have experience with kids of all ages and that come from different backgrounds and home lives. I am also CPR certified.
