I've been raising my 3 boys who are now 14, 16, and 18. Their dad was on the Air Force and deployed often which made it difficult to work since daycare at at a facility would've been too expensive. But beyond that o didn't want my kids at a daycare facility. I wanted them in our home, with their things, and without germs. We found a wonderful babysitter to come to our home which allowed me to work without worrying about my kids. Now that mine are older I would like to do that for someone else. You really do miss younger kids when yours grow up. I worked as a nurse from 1996-2003 in surgery and intensive care which has let me learn to work with several different medical conditions including spina bifida and diabetes. I have let my nursing license expire but would love to use my knowledge Read more of nursing to care for children with special needs or children who don't need as much special attention.
