I'm an Army wife. This is our fifth duty station. Before my husband joined the army I was a home health aide for two patients from 2000-2002. I assisted them with house keeping, bathing, cooking, activities, driving them to appointments and grocery shopping. When we moved to our first duty station I became a stay-at-home mom for my two kids. I volunteered at their elementary schools at their classrooms and with their after school activities. My volunteering also included with activities in my in husband's units. I started working in 2011-2015 for the school transportation as a school bus aide for special needs students from preschoolers to 21 years old. It was a very rewarding experience working with these students. I learned how to interact and understand some of my family members. I was able to teach my family things that I learned. I also worked at the cafeteria as Read more a lunch monitor. I helped in the kitchen prepared the salad bar, certain meals and wash dishes. I helped in the lunch room making sure the students were seated at the proper tables, made sure they ate their food and kept the tables clean at all times. As a lunch monitor I also took the kids out for recess after lunch.
