First off, I love children. I do not have any of my own at the moment, but being a mom is something that I have always wanted. I have watched several children throughout the years, both for family members and others. I first started babysitting when I was 14 for a family friends' children, first for their 4 year old and then also for their newborn a few years later. I watched them for approximately 6 years until their mothers' job became part time. While I was away at college in Hays, Kansas I had the opportunity to watch 6 foster children, one of whom had a mental disability and 2 others with emotional issues. My neighbors, who are also my parent's best friends have 3 children ranging in age from 4-14. I have babysat them off and on since the oldest was 6 years old.
