First off, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to come and visit my online profile. With so many active members and profiles on sittercity, it can be quite easy to get lost in the shuffle! My name's Mary and I truly enjoy caring for children of all ages. I am originally from upstate New York where my previous job was working as a Licensed Practical Nurse and Teacher's Aide to preschool age children. It was an integrated classroom which means I worked with children achieving "normal" learning milestones for their age and also children with physical disabilities and learning impairments. It was a wonderful and active hands-on role where I learned many new skills and enjoyed my job so much. I can not picture myself not working with children. While I was still a nursing student I did volunteer work at Saratoga Therapeutic Equestrian Program (S. T. Read more E. P) as a "side walker" Where under the guidance and support of other trained staff, I helped children with physical and mental impairments learn to ride horses and gain new confidence in them selves and their own unique abilities.
