I am a student at Kansas State University but am originally from the Kansas City area. With a major in Hospitality management and hopefully one day will be an event planner and my ultimate goal would be using my major in some way to do events for children or families. I have been babysitting since I was in sixth grade for many families in my hometown. Childcare experience also includes watching kids during elementary PTO meetings, after school programs, and in the nursery Sunday mornings at church. Along with that experience I also have experience with children who have disabilities. The summer of 2013 I spent with a boy who has down syndrome and the summer of 2012 I spent with a boy who has autism. I also have earned a preschool teacher certificate from my high school where I went through three levels of programs with the final level Read more being a preschool teachers where I planned and taught the kids lessons about art, math, reading, and science. I have loved working with kids all my life because I believe there is nothing better than watching them learn something new.
