I've never actually babysat for a living. I've recently became unemployed and after 10 years of doing nearly the same thing in 2 different jobs I'm ready for a change in my life. I love children. I recently had my sister and her husband and their 8 children living with me. Always something exciting and new with that many kids ages 13-1. Willing to do housework and cook. One thing that I looked for in a babysitter after my daughter was born was someone that was going to treat my child as she was their own and I would be willing do provide nothing less for someone else's child. I would encourage learning activities, reading, numbers, shapes etc. These kind of things are important to start early in my opinion when your child is still a tiny munchkin. I don't have any "official" training or certifications to be a babysitter Read more but having one of my own has probably been the best training, as I am a single mother. I've also been cpr and first aid certified several times in the past few years. My last job I worked as general office administrative position who done a little bit of everything for 4 years and the job before that I was a 911 dispatcher for the county I live in for a little over 3.
